At our Meditation Center you are under expert guidance
Meditation classes at the Center are under the guidance of Nathalie Bizawi, founder of Wisdom & Mindfulness meditation center in Tel Aviv.
A Licensed Senior Mindfulness and meditation instructor, from Wingate Academic College, Israel.
As an Education Specialist from Tel Aviv University, I believe that pedagogy and research techniques can only add to the classic meditation training approach.
As a former businesswoman, my experience of management allowed the creation of targeted professional mindfulness training and talks which integrate content made to foster professional growth.
The Study of Wisdom and Meditation
For the past six years, my academic background and a healthy curiosity brought about an extensive study of the psychology and philosophy of wisdom.
This on-going study aims at bringing together and synthesizing the approaches and principles held by different schools of thought focusing of improving the quality of one’s life.
This study began with a thought of bringing harmony into one’s life, that journey led to the discovery of inexhaustible sources of wisdom which I bring to practitioners.
Wisdom is at the core of meditation practice, practitioners are introduced to the fruits of wisdom of both ancient and modern psychology, theology, philosophy and new age.
Meditation and Mindfulness ∼ mind training
I was first introduced to the benefits of meditation and mindfulness practice at Search Inside Yourself.
A program developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn and Daniel Goleman, fathers of the MBSR technique and EQ theory – emotional intelligence.
The program is based on theories aiming at promoting emotional resilience, with mindfulness practice as at central tool.
The approach aims at preventing burn-out and stress, reduce anxiety, increase concentration and mental effectiveness. All of which is made to improve personal interactions.
Buddhist Wisdom, Philosophy and Psychology
Equipped with research findings that demonstrated the benefits of Mindfulness on the body as well as the emotional state, I sought to expand the study.
Another dimension was added to the study, hands-on effective tools which to better one’s life.
I set out to explore and study the Buddhist way. The same philosophy and psychology that are at the basis of meditation practice.
The journey led to a Mindfulness Leadership Seminar at the Buddhist monastery Plum Village, in France.
The monastery was founded by Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, considered as second most important figure in the Buddhist tradition after the Dalai Lama.
Thai’s approach to meditation training and application of wisdom agree with our modern lifestyle.
Buddhism and Artful Living
A good researcher knows a good source can only be found at the source, the next leg of the journey in Wisdom led to the Buddha’s path, from Nepal to India.
The traveling seminar included a delegation of teachers and practitioners from all over Europe, from Plum Village.
There, I came into contact with the land of Buddha, with the roots of its culture and way of thinking.
Even today, after 2500 years, Buddhist philosophy and psychology has still much to contribute to our way of thinking living. Their contributions I bring to our meditation classes.
I continue to delve deeper into the role of consciousness and the importance of meditation practice in maintaining one’s inner peace as one encounters the world.
The search for more effective meditation practices that meet the needs of man in the technological age, also continues…
I recently attended a silent mindfulness retreat “Mindfulness, Friendliness, Insight and Liberation”, with Set Integral Mindfulness center in coordination with Oxford Mindfulness Center.
My aspiration is to equip meditation practitioners with, “On the Go”, simple and accessible tools.
Making wisdom available to the listener by presenting content in a clear, accessible, and interesting way.
We provide our practitioners with a practical meditation toolbox to help them cultivate and preserve well-being, clarity and personal growth.
Combining Meditation & Wisdom
My personal experience of meditation, similar to the experience of millions of meditators in the world, is one of contribution.
Contribution to internal balance, to the peace and well-being of the self.
Following the research and the synthesis of the hundreds of sources,
I researched, a unique conceptual model was developed.
Uncovering and clarifying mental habits
The model enables an in-depth process of self-discovery.
Thus it helps ground our understanding of thinking patterns.
This allows us to map out cause-effect relationships, and identify mental habits.
The model generated an array of open meditation sessions, workshops, talks and training programs for professionals.
Grounded in the belief that “the well-being of one brings well-being to others, our programs all aim at making well-being the center of attention.
You are invited to join us, experience meditation at the Center today!
Until we meet in person, remember, “Thinking makes real”.
