Mindfulness practice

My first meditation class - June 2020Mindfulness practice has been on your to do list lately? Great! you are invited to come and join us and give it a try. 

We meet for a group practice, in a pleasant and inviting atmosphere, so we can enjoy an hour of mindfulness and grounding.

We understand that keeping a practice going is not easy and sometimes the conditions are not helping.

Swamped? Can’t make the session? It’s all right, book a 90 mins private session, one on one training when it works for you.

Feel free to pop-in ∼ open meditation sessions

Facing a difficult day? Stress is pilling-up? Looking for a way to relax?

We are waiting for you on the meditation pillow for a meditation session full of wisdom.

All you need is to sign-up, the rest we will do together.

Limited seating

We do our best to accept everyone but we also try to maintain small group practice.

It is important that you feel comfortable!

Don’t wait for the last minute, let us know you are coming, so we can reserve your pillow.

Meditation is not for everyone, or so they say,

that is why I advise new practitioners to join a class and try-out.

“Yes or No to meditation”? take at least three lessons before your decide.

You are invited to join one of our sessions, get to know our group members and meet the instructor.

Not convinced by then, no pressure.

In the case of a physical limitation

Physical health is as important as emotional health.

During our session we work at strengthening the mind body connection and ask to nurture them through practice.

We learn to relate to the suffering of the body and train ourselves to breathe into the pain.

Yet, we are seated on meditation pillows and Zabuton mattresses, resting on the floor.

In the case of a chronic physical limitation, we recommend that you consult your doctor before signing-up.

In the case of a temporary physical limitation, you can practice either seated on a chair or lying down.

Mindfulness practice ~ Mind training and mental health

We believe in combining professional tools and supportive techniques, however, mind training requires mental health.

We ask for transparency regarding your mental state, this is out of concern for your health (the reason for treatment, medication balance, etc.).

We work the most important tool for a person in term of life functioning and therefore, the mental state of the practitioner is very important.

We ask that you consult with us, as well as your doctor, before signing-up to meditation sessions at Wisdom & Mindfulness.
